In the summer of 2016, the PowerBase Senior Team spent a considerable amount of time discussing the possibility of investing as sponsors and exhibitors at the 2016 Training & Development Show at DWTC in October. There were many compelling arguments for participation – a seemingly great opportunity to showcase services, address show visitors during live seminars and of course to develop relationships, generate relevant leads – ultimately leading to positive business generation. But there were equally plausible counter arguments for participation – potential headaches with unhelpful event organisers, diversion of resources from general work activities and of course, the costs.
Eventually the decision was made, the contract signed and the process began … no turning back.
And the outcome? There is no doubt that, from the start, the team were very impressed by the whole experience. The event organisers, Terrapinn, did an amazing job in devising a varied and highly engaging Conference agenda, attracting leading relevant professionals to attend the event and creating slick channels to allow maximum possible networking opportunity. Relationships were established, partnerships formed and business opportunities generated. Equally importantly, the PowerBase team was energised, motivated and inspired by the cross fertilisation of ideas and initiatives.
The bottom line – a big tick in the box as a worthwhile investment.
Against this background, it will be no major surprise that PowerBase will be supporting the 2017 event – rebranded as Work 2.0 ME and taking place at Le Meridian Conference Centre on 3rd & 4th October.
This year’s event encompasses 3 conference streams – Learning at Work, Technology in the Workplace and Wellness in the Workplace, all supported by a range of industry- leading speakers.
With just 15 days to go until the opening, the team is deep in preparation for what promises to be a hugely informative and exhilarating event. In this age of digital dominance, online networking and virtual everything, the value of face to face encounters and real conversations has increased and it is our view that this event offers the most potent opportunity for this.
We look forward to meeting clients, partners, friends – old and new on 3rd & 4th October.
